College Placement

The main objective of the College Placement Program at the Gorin Tennis Academy is to match a student-athlete with the best University that meets their academic and athletic potential. Throughout the years, we have developed exclusive relationships with many college coaches in the United States, which allows us to hand-pick the perfect environment for each tennis player. It is also imperative for us to make sure that both players and their parents aqcuire complete understanding of the recruitment process and are in position to make an educated and informative decision when choosing a University.
To ensure succesfull college placement, Gorin Tennis Academy provides the following tools and resources for our players:
1. Assistance with all documents regarding NCAA registration and university enrollment
2. Preparation for TOEFL and SAT; accredited tutoring services.
3. Counceling and research in order to identify prospective universities
4. College video
5. Direct exposure to some of the best colleges and college coaches

Notched singles victories over No. 15 William & Mary, No. 54 Boston College, and No. 28 Clemson, as well as conference foes Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, and NC State ... 2007 Fall: Defeated opponents from Illinois and Richmond in straight sets to win Flight 3 in the Deacon Classic ... Upset the fifth seed from NC State at the ITA Regionals.

Ranked 30th in singles and 3rd nationally in doubles with partner Christina Yee in Girls 16s... ranked 50th nationally in Girls 18 and under... ranked 40th nationally and rated as a five-star recruit according to Tennisrecruiting.net... competed in National Fed Cup where she represented the Northern California section. Three time NorCal Sectionals doubles Champion. Top wins over Lauren Lui and Cristala Andrews.

Born August 30, 1989 in San Jose, Calif.... Parents are Roman and Terry Malvehy... made honor roll every year at Bear River High School.
USC Trojan Matthew Kecki 2008 GTA Graduate and 2009 NCAA Team Champion

THIS SEASON: Matt Kecki enters his first season at USC ranked No. 55 in the ITA preseason rankings... During the fall, went 8-3 in singles and 2-2 in doubles... Went 3-2 at the UVA Invitational... Won seven straight matches before falling in the semifinals of the ITA Regionals.
HIGH SCHOOL: Kecki was a back-to-back semifinalist in doubles at the Junior Australian Open and a doubles quarterfinalist at Junior Wimbledon... Won the Easter Bowl 14s... Also represented the United State in the Junior Davis Cup in 14s and 16s.
PERSONAL: Matt Kecki was born Jan. 25, 1990 in Sacramento, Calif... Son of Lidia and Janusz... Has two sisters, Karolina and Kamila... Enjoys playing video games in his free time... Has always wanted to win an NCAA title... Would like to one day travel to Asia...Majoring in business.
Vitaly Gorin grew up playing tennis in southern California. As a junior he traveled to Florida to study under the legendary Harry Hoppman. He moved to northern California in 1988 to play for another legendary coach, Tom Chivington.
