Adult Tennis Clinics
Interested in enhancing your tennis techniques? Gorin Tennis can help! Our clinics are 90 minutes long, and players will have the opportunity to pick and choose each class they would like to sign up for. Since all programs are continuous with no set sessions, we offer a wide variety of different levels, allowing all players to enjoy the sport of tennis and work to improve. Our coaches use an NTRP process to provide feedback and give recommendations for which classes players should sign up for in the future.
Introduction to Tennis:
This clinic is for adult tennis players with limited or no tennis experience who are learning how to hold their racket and beginning to learn the fundamentals.
Adult 2.0/2.5 Tennis Clinic:
This clinic is for players with some tennis experience and for players who are capable of maintaining a short rally. Clinics will focus on technique and strategy through both drills and games.
Adult 3.0 Tennis Clinic:
This is an adult tennis clinic for players who play at the 3.0 level. This clinic is for players who are able to maintain a slow rally with directional control. Players will work on both placement and power through games and out-of-basket drills.
Adult 3.5 Tennis Clinic:
This clinic is for players who are rated 3.5 and play at the 3.5 level. Players will focus on strategy, positioning, and movement, and players are expected to rally at a medium pace with directional control, but may be lacking consistency.
Adult 4.0 Tennis Clinic:
This is an adult tennis clinic for players who are rated 4.0 and play at the 4.0 level. This clinic is for players with several years of experience who have the ability to hit the ball with power and direction in practice.
Tacoma Adult Leagues And Teams
Interested in joining a tennis league? Learn how Gorin Tennis can help! We have opportunities for players of all skill levels to partner with teammates and leagues. Some of these include:
Internal Flex League: Great for players of similar skill levels to play doubles practice matches together.
USTA Teams: Our Tacoma facility hosts USTA teams throughout the year, and we even have indoor courts for inclement weather!
Team Practices: We have team practices and adult private groups available.

Q: Is this facility indoors or outdoors? We offer both! The Sprinker Recreation Center features 4 indoor tennis courts and outdoor courts, allowing for year-round play regardless of the Washington weather.
Q: Do I need a membership to Sprinker Rec Center? No. You do not need a facility membership to participate in Gorin Tennis programs or rent courts. We are open to the public.
Q: How do I start with the Adult Clinics? If you are unsure of your rating, our coaches use the NTRP process to provide feedback. We recommend starting with a level you are comfortable with; our coaches will then give recommendations for future classes.
