Membership Information and Benefits

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS AND POLICIES

1. Family Membership (4 immediate family members):

  • Price: $180 per year, billed yearly

  • Private Lessons: Discount of $5 per lesson if booked under priority booking for the month ahead.

  • Group Class Prices: $10 off the current non member price for tennis groups if booked in the month ahead. (See price list)

  • Service Cancellations -

  • Cancellation Protection:

    • Two early cancellation protection passes per month.

    • Three late cancellation protection passes per season. (See Policy for Early and Late Cancellations)

  • Tournaments and Leagues: Additional discounts on tournaments and leagues.

2. Singles (Adult) Membership:

  • Price: $150 per year, billed yearly

  • Private Lessons: Discount of $5 per lesson if booked under priority booking for the month ahead.

  • Price: $100 per year, billed yearly

  • Service Cancellations -

    • Cancellation Protection:

* Unused early cancellation protection passes expire at the end of each month. Unused late cancellation protection passes expire at the end of each season.

Booking Private Lessons & Priority Booking/Consistent Schedule

BOOKING PRIVATE LESSONS

Nothing shall be booked for the next month before the 15th of the current month. Any booked private lesson or court rental must be paid for at the time of booking. UNPAID = UNBOOKED

  • Consistent clients and clients that would like to become consistent will have the ability to schedule a private or court rental between the 15th and the 25th of the current month.

  • Clients who do not intend to become consistent will be allowed to book for the next month starting on the 26th of the current month.

  • To be recognized as a consistent client, you are required to schedule the same time, same court, and same day of the week for the entire upcoming month.

  • Consistent clients reserve the right to schedule out their recurrent reservations for the next month or to choose to forfeit their rescheduling priority starting from the 15th through the 25th of each current month. After that date, their reservation time slot will become available to everyone. A client will retain their booking priority for the next month even if they’ve had to cancel a service(s) within a current month, provided it was originally scheduled on a consistent basis.

  • Private lessons booked recurrently for the month ahead will include a $5 early bird discount on each lesson.

CONSISTENT SCHEDULE

- Nothing shall be booked for the next month before the 15th of the current month.

- Any booked private lesson, group class or court rental must be paid for at the time of booking.

- To book a time slot on a tennis court consistently means to schedule the same time, same court, and same day of the week for the entire month.

- Clients who would like to extend their existing consistent schedule will have the ability to do so for the next month between the 15th and the 20th of the current month.

- Clients who wish to become consistent will have the ability to book their schedule between the 21st and the 25th should the space be available.

- Clients who do not intend to book a time slot consistently will be allowed to book for the next month starting on the 26th of the current month.

- Consistent clients reserve the right to schedule out their recurrent reservations for the next month or to choose to forfeit their rescheduling priority starting from the 15th through the 25th of each current month. After that date, their reservation time slot will become available to everyone. Policy for Early Cancellations

  • 1. PRIME TIME
  • Definitions:

Early cancellation refers to a cancellation made 24+ hours before the start time of the reservation.

Prime time is defined as weekdays from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM (and 9am-1:30pm at Bellevue) and weekends from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. See “New Rental Pricing System” chart. Recurrent rentals on Pickleball-dedicated courts 1 & 2 at Bellevue and 9 & 10 in Redmond have varying prime time hours. See rental chart for more details.

Cancellation Fee: If a client makes an early cancellation of a private lesson or a court rental scheduled during prime time, AND the club was unsuccessful in rebooking the time slot, a $35 cancellation fee will be applied to the client's tennis account.

Early Cancellation Protection (Membership Based):

  • Family Membership: Members with a Family Membership are allowed to make an early cancellation of a private lesson or a court rental up to 2 times per calendar month without incurring the $35 cancellation fee.
  • Single Membership: Members with a Single Membership are allowed to make an early cancellation of a private lesson or a court rental up to 1 time per calendar month without incurring the $35 cancellation fee.

To avoid the cancellation fee when cancelling your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible so that we have adequate time to rebook your time slot.

2. NON-PRIME TIME

  • Cancellation Fee: There is no cancellation fee when an early cancelation is made to a private lesson or court rental scheduled outside of prime time.

3. GROUP CLASSES: If a client makes an early cancellation of a group class, a full refund will be provided.

Policy for Late Cancellations

Definition: Late cancellation refers to a cancellation made within 24 hours of the start time of a reservation.

Cancellation Fee:

  • Court Rental Reservation: If a client makes a late cancellation of a court rental, no refund will be provided unless the client uses their protection passes.
  • Private Lesson Reservation: If a client makes a late cancellation of a private lesson between 24 hours and 12 hours before the scheduled start time, the client will be refunded 50% of the original charge. If a client makes a late cancellation of a private lesson less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time, no refund will be provided unless the client uses their protection passes.
  • Group Class Reservation: If a client makes a late cancellation of a group class, no refund will be provided unless the client uses their protection passes.

Late Cancellation Protection (Membership Based):

  • Family Membership: Members with a Family Membership are allowed to make a late cancellation of a private lesson, group class, or a court rental up to 3 times per season with a full refund.
  • Single Membership: Members with a Single Membership are allowed to make a late cancellation of a private lesson, group class, or a court rental 2 times per season with a full refund.

Seasons:

  • Fall Season: October – January
  • Spring Season: February – May
  • Summer Season: June - September

Please note that the late cancellation policy is designed to maintain fairness and accommodate our clients needs while ensuring the efficient operation of our services. Private Lesson Coach Replacement Policy

In the event that a scheduled coach becomes unavailable for a private lesson, the club will make every effort to find a substitute coach. Our goal is to secure a substitute coach with expertise and suitability comparable to the client's requirements. However, should the client choose to cancel the lesson due to a preference against the replacement coach, the client will be responsible for the applicable cancellation fees as outlined in our standard cancellation policy.

Firearms and Weapons Policy

FIREARMS AND WEAPONS POLICY

Policy Statement:

At Gorin Tennis Academy, the safety and well-being of our students, staff, and visitors are of the utmost importance. We are committed to maintaining a secure and comfortable environment for everyone on our premises. To ensure the safety of all individuals, the possession, use, and storage of firearms and weapons on the academy's property is prohibited.

Scope:

This policy applies to all individuals present on the premises of Gorin Tennis Academy, including students, parents, guardians, visitors, staff, and contractors.

Prohibited Items:

1. Firearms: No firearms, including handguns, rifles, shotguns, or any other type of firearm, are allowed on Gorin Tennis Academy property at any time.

2. Edged Weapons: Any type of knife or bladed weapon, including but not limited to switchblades, utility knives, or machetes, is prohibited on the premises.

3. Explosives: The possession or use of explosives, fireworks, or any other devices that can cause explosions is forbidden.

4. Impact Weapons: Objects designed to be used as blunt-force instruments, such as clubs, batons, or brass knuckles, are not permitted.

5. Replica Weapons: Any item that resembles a firearm or weapon, even if it is not functional, is not allowed on the premises.

Enforcement:

2. Consequences of Violation: Any individual found in possession of firearms or prohibited weapons will be immediately asked to leave the premises. In severe cases, law enforcement may be contacted.

3. Education and Communication: Gorin Tennis Academy will regularly communicate and educate students, parents, guardians, staff, and visitors about the firearms and weapons policy to ensure awareness and compliance.

Exceptions:

Any exceptions to this policy must be approved in advance by the Academy's management in writing. Exceptions will only be granted in situations where the possession of a firearm or weapon is necessary for a legitimate and authorized purpose, such as law enforcement officers on official duty.

Reporting Violations:

Any individual who becomes aware of a violation of this policy should promptly report it to the academy management or designated staff members.

Policy Review:

This policy will be periodically reviewed and updated as needed to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with safety standards and legal requirements.

By adhering to these firearms and weapons policy, we aim to create a safe and secure environment where everyone can enjoy their experience at Gorin Tennis Academy without compromising their well-being.
